Apricot

The apricot is a fruit born of the Prunus armeniaca. Botanically it is closely related to the plum. The original range of the apricot is unknown due to its early prehistoric distribution and cultivation. There is some evidence that would place its origin in Armenia. It is certain, however, that the apricot has been in use throughout North Africa and the Middle East from early times. Apricots are sweet and juicy and light orange in color.
