Orbital

Orbital broke into the electronic music scene in the late 80's with their debut self titled album. The band is comprised of two brothers, Phil and Paul Hartnoll, from the United Kingdom. They were into the early dance and rave scenes and decided to make their own electronic music with a Korg keyboard and their dad's cassette recorder. Their second album, "Orbital II" came out in 1993 and blew my mind away the first time I heard it. I had never heard anything like it and I was immediately captivated from "Planet of Shapes" to "Halcyon + On + On". Orbital's music is a raw and rhythmic combination of great synthesizer tones and awesome drum machine sequences.
