Nasturtium

Nasturtium (Tropaeolum) literally translates as "nose twister." This ornamental flower is good for the garden because it repels many pests, such as squash bugs and beetles. These showy plants do well in poor soil and are self-seeding annually. The nasturtium is entirely edible, has a light peppery taste, and its bright colors add a nice touch to salads, soups and sandwiches.
