The X-Files

The X-Files is a science fiction television show starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as characters Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The show ran from 1993 to 2002, and was a big hit for Fox Television. The overarching themes were government conspiracy, extraterrestrial life, and paranormal unexplainable phenomena. Mulder was assigned to the X-Files: unexplained case files at the FBI. Scully was charged the task of keeping Mulder's wild theories in check with her scientific and medical background. One a believer and one a skeptic, they made a strong team in trying to uncover the mystery behind the X-File cases.
