Circuit Modeling

With the advent of digital signal processing it became possible to model the behavior of individual components within a circuit and how they effect a signal as it passes through that circuit. The models of the individual components are then "added" together to create a model of the total circuit. This approach is very CPU intensive, and only recently have practical applications become available using this method to create sound sculpting tools.
