E. John Robinson
E. John Robinson was as professional oil and watercolor painter who devoted his life to capturing perfect light in his marine seascapes. He was born on April 14, 1932 in Grants Pass, Oregon. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California, and his Master's degree from San Francisco State College in San Francisco, California.
Mr. Robinson produced over three thousand sketches and paintings, most of which are in private collections. Of his more remarkable distinctions, he produced seven covers for Reader's Digest in his long and esteemed career. He died in 2008 at age 76 in Mendocino.
