Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is the largest of the freshwater lakes in California and Nevada. The border of the two states bisects this body of water. The lake is in a high alpine setting and is known for its clarity and beauty. The area surrounding the lake is known for its outstanding skiing and snowboarding, its hiking trails, and access to wilderness areas. It is part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
