Monkey Forest

Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali is a sacred location full of jungle vegetation and animal life. The monkeys that inhabit the area are long-tailed macaques and the jungle has all but consumed the stone temples and ancient walkways. With over a hundred species of trees this majestic forest has been made into a nature preserve and attraction. Be careful around the monkeys as we experienced first hand how they will run off with your sunglasses or lunch. Luckily a very nice man who worked there was able to trade the monkey a bag of peanuts to get the sunglasses back for us.
