Banjo

The banjo has it's origins in Africa. Coming in four and five string versions the Banjo is a skin stretched around a circular snare drum like frame.

Mandolin

The mandolin is an eight stringed instrument. The strings are in four pairs and are typically tuned G D A E. The strings are plucked and strummed.
