Night Train Vox Tube Amp
This sweet little guitar amp emits buttery smooth blues tones and silky sweet tube compression. The Vox Night Train is equipped with dual 12AX7 preamp tubes and dual EL84 power tubes. It is a 15 watt tube amp head with extreme tone versatility, ranging from blues to jazz to metal. My favorite feature is the Pentode/Triode switch, which switches the amp from the full 15 watts to 7.5 watts while still retaining tube compression. The Triode mode enables you to get that awesome tube sound at low volume. This amp is perfect for practicing quietly at home yet powerful enough to be heard clearly over a loud drummer, band, or live gig.
The controls include full EQ (treble, middle, bass), gain (clean to crunch) and volume (overdrive), and a Bright/Thick switch. On Bright the amp is smooth and clean while Thick boosts you to awesome levels of overdrive. It has 8 and 16 ohm speaker outputs. This amp is extremely portable at only 16.98 lbs and features a handy "lunch box" style handle.
