Portuguese Sweet Bread

This delicious and sweet bread from the Portuguese culture is made with flour, eggs, milk, sugar or honey, and salt. Some recipes include mashed potatoes to give it a subtly complex texture and taste. Known as Pão Doce, this bread is traditionally served at holiday dinners, such as Christmas and Easter. It makes good toast with homemade raspberry jam. Mmmmm!
