Ten Mile Beach
On the Northern California coast, the Ten Mile Beach area is a stretch of white sand north of Fort Bragg managed by California State Parks. The mouth of the Ten Mile River is considered the northern boundary of this long stretch of sand. It is included in the Mackerricher State Park lands. The area is known for its high sand dune formations and having one of the only fen (bog) areas on the coast where unique plant species exist.
