VST

Virtual Studio Technology (VST) was introduced by Steinberg Media Technologies in 1996. This open standard allows for developers to create software plug-ins that run within any application that supports the VST Specification. Plug-ins allow for many different types of audio processing and synthesizers to be developed and expand the possibilities of any host audio program.
