Western Gull

Larus occidentalis is the classic seagull. Size to 26 inches. Wingspan to 58 inches. These western birds range the entire length of the northeastern Pacific from Washington State to Baja California. The Western Gull produces 2 – 4 eggs that are buffy brown; its nest is usually of grass. Food: whatever presents itself, from garbage to young birds.
