Yooka-Laylee

Yooka-Laylee is an independent 3D platformer video game coming in October of 2016. Back in the 1990's, a company called Rare created several classic, much-loved video games for the Nintendo 64, such as Banjo-Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, and GoldenEye 007. Most of the original crew of Rare decided to reband as Playtonic Games to create Yooka-Laylee, a platformer much in the style of Banjo-Kazooie. The game features a "buddy" mechanic, with a chameleon and bat helping each other explore and overcome the vibrant 3D world. Yooka-Laylee has become the fastest video game to reach over $1 million on Kickstarter in just 6 hours.
