Disco

Disco is a type of dance and music with its origins in American culture of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The dance style is marked by strong male/female gender roles in partner dances, a sense of Direct Space Effort and a keen attention to rhythm. Other disco dance styles included line dances such as the electric slide and the Hustle. The Hustle was also sometimes a partner dance. One can see examples of disco style dances in films such as Saturday Night Fever (1977) and Fame (1980).
