Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a system of traditional medicine with its origins in India. Of chief importance is bringing the three doshas (humors) into balance in the body.

Vata is an Ayurvedic dosha or body/mind/health type that is characterized as cold and dry. Vatta is dominated by the element of air and is related to mobility.

Pitta Dosha

Pitta is an Ayurvedic dosha or body/mind/health type that is characterized as hot and dry. It is dominated by the element of fire and is related to digestion.

Kapha Dosha

Kapha Dosha is an Ayurvedic term used to indicate those systems in the human body/mind and material universe that relate to immunity, strength and stability.
